North Window Ceramics is a studio owned and operated by me, Casey Lynch. My studio is located in Freeport, Maine, in a large barn built in the mid-1800s. I’m inspired by antique natural history illustrations and by my training in relief printmaking.

Most of my thrown pieces include surface decoration done in sgraffito, a process which involves painting underglaze onto leather-hard ceramics and carving out a design before firing.

I also run a freelance design business (find me at clynchdesign.com). When I’m not making pottery or designing logos, you can find me metalworking, cooking & baking, gardening, tending chickens, or beekeeping. Most of my candles are made using beeswax harvested from my own hives during regular inspections and honey harvests.
